A dozen laborers, including children, sustained injuries after a pickup truck overturned near Sindhiya on NH 80 under the jurisdiction of the Safiyasarai OP area in Munger. The uncontrolled vehicle caused the accident, and dozens of people were injured, with some in critical condition.
The injured were quickly taken to Sadar Hospital by locals for immediate medical attention. The driver and sub-operator of the vehicle fled the scene, but police from the Safiyasarai OP are investigating the incident.
Reports indicate that the laborers, including the children, were traveling in the pickup truck from Beldaur in Khagaria to Sheikhpura to receive a month's wages when the accident occurred. The condition of four of the injured individuals is reportedly severe, while the others are said to be out of danger.
The authorities are taking necessary steps to ensure that the injured laborers receive the necessary medical attention and that the individuals responsible for the accident are held accountable.
